That being said, the entire outdoor showroom won’t be fully finished, but we {should} be about 90% there.  We won’t have samples in our new marketplaces, the raised area won’t have pavers down and one of the kitchens will be missing a countertop.  We realized this when the unveiling date was scheduled and are very thankful to have as much done as we do.  The weather couldn’t have been better for this project, it was in the 80′s much of last week!  That is unbelievable weather for March in Michigan.  We will take it!!

Last week was one full of progress that kept us very busy.

On Saturday the 17th, Dave from DZT came in to lay the ‘red carpet’ area leading into the showroom.  Dave will also be responsible for the main path through the displays, but he couldn’t start on the rest of the area until today since he had to wait for the rest of the landscapers to have their areas laid out.

On Monday the 19th, Twin Lakes finished up the Western Storm chopped pavers that wrapped up their area.  Now our customers have a nearly direct path into the building on a paved structure.  Now three of the seven landscapers have completed their areas!

Monday was a busy day since both Stout Creek and Koetje Landscaping also began their areas.  Logistics were rather dicey the first day, but we got all the kinks worked out and Tuesday everything was moving ahead.  As of today, both areas are fully laid out and the finishing touches will be completed on Monday the 26th.

Rosemont Nursery is still working on their areas, but has all the main level intricate clay patterns completed and sanded.  They will be back after the unveiling to finish the rest.

On Thursday, Aaron from Ophoff Masonry volunteered his crews for a couple of days to help us catch up with the masonry portion of the project.  His crews applied thin veneer real stone to one of the kitchens, created a large fireplace with woodboxes and began the daunting task of installing the stone on the fireplace.  In addition, the pizza oven was constructed and the stone was applied.

Next week will be a busy one as the main walkway and the masonry will be completed and some of the finishing touches are due to arrive.  We will be getting two kitchen countertops, a cap to the infinity edge water feature and the firepit cap and glass.  We also will have functional bubbling rocks and all the appliances will be installed in the kitchens.

On Monday, March 5th Twin Lakes began working on the area adjacent into main walkway into the showroom.  Being the first ones in, they had all the work of setting elevations. Their area, complete with a stone firepit, planter and a mix of clay, natural stone and concrete pavers has something everyone will want in their own backyard.

The first week of March was a busy one!  Essex Outdoor Concepts was the next landscaper to start working on Tuesday, March 7th .  They have a very geometric area featuring a stunning water feature.  In this area alone, there are six different types of hardscape materials!  This area sits right outside of the entrance into the showroom. It was completed today as well!!

Rosemont Nursery also started their elaborate area on Tuesday, March 7th.  This area features primarily clay pavers in many colors and patterns.  The intricate details gave their saw a workout for sure!!  In addition, this area has a huge kitchen area, a pizza oven and a fireplace.
